During the last year, I became addicted to Instagram.   Today I kicked the habit.  I dumped the feed and will take a break for some time.  I’m going to concentrate on shooting more and posting less.  We, people, in general, have become engrossed in this hamster wheel of Instagram.  I look around and see people taking snapshots of everything imaginable without thinking.   I found that I was thinking about how that would look on Instagram versus how the image evoked emotion or really captured a moment in time.  I was thinking how I would frame the image for a square crop over telling the story.   I hope all who enjoy my images and will stop by the blog page and see more frequent updates here.  I may post a few images on Facebook to let people know where to find me.

We traveled to New York this weekend and visited with Amanda and Kurt.  We toured the Hudson Valley and sampled food and beverages.  We visited New Paltz, Beacon, Wallkill, Stewart, Poughkeepsie, and  Hyde Park where you will find the CIA, Culinary Institute of America.  In Beacon, we stopped by the Hudson Beach Glass company and saw a professional glass blower at work.  We were able to see a Bald Eagle in the town of Montgomery.
